Bob’s Latest Makeover

September 23, 2024

BELLEVUE, WA – Bob Ferguson did a rare media interview where he discussed Climate Pledge Arena’s agreement to pay nearly a half of a million dollars to folks who paid hidden fees on concessions.

“You shouldn’t pay a hidden fee if it’s not disclosed to you,” Bob proclaimed on X.

It’s an interesting comment coming from the Attorney General whose office literally advised Puget Sound Energy (PSE) to hide fees its customers were paying due to the Climate Commitment Act.

When PSE said it would be transparent with customers that they were paying more for energy due to the tax on CO2 emissions by having a “carbon reduction charge” line item on their bills, an attorney in Ferguson’s urged against transparency.

The Attorney General’s office wrote that they were “concerned with PSE’s proposal to itemize the State Carbon Reduction Charge and State Carbon Reduction Credit on customer bills.”

Ferguson doesn’t care about putting a stop to hidden fees. He may act like he does when he’s in the middle of a close election but when it comes to protecting a political priority, Ferguson was quick to fight against transparency.

This latest makeover is just more proof that Bob Ferguson is a career-politician who will do and say anything for a vote in an election year.
